Professor Geek, LLC is a boutique, full-service Information Technology firm specializing in serving the specific needs of small businesses. We serve a diverse client base in such industries as hospitality, medical, legal, manufacturing, and wholesaling. We are based in Atlanta, GA but have clients throughout the Eastern United States. Club Geeks is a subsidiary that focuses specifically on the IT needs of country clubs.

Our mission is to foster long-term, high-trust relationships with a select group of clients that are looking for a strategic partner -- someone that takes the time to understand their business, and not just their technology. We pride ourselves on building personal relationships with our clients, and from that we are able to better serve them. Unlike most IT firms, we believe that we are primarily in a people business. Many IT professionals are more focused on hardware and software, and they fail to truly understand the problems that users face. What sets us further apart from other IT companies is that we receive no commission or other compensation from our vendors. Our revenue stream comes from working with clients on the implementation and support of that hardware and software. As a result, our clients can be confident that our recommendations are based on a thorough evaluation of their needs, and nothing else. We have no incentive for you to spend more than is necessary on hardware and software.

The company was founded in 2002 by John McLeod. Prior to starting the company, John spent 12 years on the faculty at Georgia Tech, serving as Undergraduate Director, teaching Economics to as many as 800 students per semester, and managing IT for the School of Economics. John won multiple awards for his teaching, and that is reflected in the way we interact with clients.
